StrangeFlow this is a really sweet and characteristic jazz album - a mixture between edgy tracks with interesting bass techniques and dreamy emotional parts. Andrew and Dauw are my favourites, one lively and playful, the other one dreamy, rhythmical and peaceful. Another musical gem from Belgium!

Andrew Aaron I love the track "Andrew" but it's hard to pick a favourite when the variety is wide. This is the kind of album where each track offers something a bit different, but somehow the album coheres so well.

I'm reminded of a phrase the drummer Jimmy Chamberlin used to describe an album (I think by Elvin Jones): this album is like a "bear hug of music."

World of Echo Atmospheric and communicative modern jazz. Recommended listening.

'Hert' is an album created by 5 people who share the same passion for sound, groove and atmosphere. It's the second album of Lara Rosseel and successor to the critically acclaimed record 'De Grote Vrouw' (2020). Like the deer to which the Dutch album title refers, this album frolics from one experience to another. It's a game of intuitive musical experimentation, an unknown adventure where gut feeling is paramount. The music reflects a connection between two poles: ethereal soft gracefulness is contrasted with firm groundedness. Compelling, decisive and unique.
